Hi! I’m Ram.
I'm a Design Lead on the Insight UX team at Google. We uncover and translate critical insights for GenAI, Global Youth and new markets, enabling innovation across Google's product portfolio.
I partner with product teams like Google Search, Gemini, Shopping and Workspace deeply understand what users want and need. I do this through Co-Creation, a design method that integrates user perspectives across the entire product development process. By involving users from the early stages of research, and then through ideation, development and evaluation, our teams gain valuable insights that accelerate decision-making and create long-lasting and impactful change.
I’ve also led 0-to-1 products across Small Business Growth, Employment and Connectivity spaces. I helped scale Google’s Small Business partnerships in Brazil, built a jobs marketplace through Kormo Jobs in Asia, led Enterprise UX for Google Station—enabling the global public Wi-Fi infrastructure, and was the founding designer of Datally, an app that helped people save mobile data.
I find purpose in designing for people across different geographies, cultures, and positively influence their relationship with technology.
Prior to working at Google, I led design at Khosla Labs, a startup incubator in India, where I helped design and launch a mobile payments company called Novopay.
I also drove other product initiatives across National Identity Services and Healthcare.
I thrive on meaningful conversations, and love partnering with people who are passionate about design and technology to craft delightful experiences.
Aside from working in a product environment, I’ve also worked in consulting with small and large clients. At frog, an innovation consulting company, I was part of a creative team that delivered projects for Disney, Kohl’s, Jaypore, and a large financial corporation in Asia.
I’ve also delivered freelance design projects for 12+ years across 4 countries.
If you’d like to consult on a design project or learn more about my work, get in touch.
Thanks for stopping by!
